Renewal Story: Espie
Posted: February 3, 2018
“All I need is a job and some money,” Espie told himself.
After Espie was laid off from his job, his home was foreclosed, his vehicles were repossessed and his wife left him. “I went downhill really fast,” he remembers.
Like Espie, most people come to the Mission driven by basic physical needs like food, safety and shelter. Once here, they discover much deeper needs like love, hope and respect. And finally, they realize that a new beginning is right within their reach!
“I’m extremely hopeful”, says Espie. “God has poured out so much grace on me! And it’s available to everyone here.”
“The impact is far greater than feeding someone.” Says Espie. “You may think it’s a drop in the bucket, but it’s really a ripple in the ocean. If it will make a difference in my life, it will make a difference in the lives of people around me.”
