New Year, New Program: Club UGM!
Posted: January 15, 2020
We’re starting the New Year with a new program! Many residents come to us with a history of fractured families and harmful relationships. Club UGM allows them to form healthy friendships and cultivate new skills and interests.
Membership begins on day one of the 30-day new resident introductory period and continues until the resident become employed, enrolls in school or graduates from the Resident Program. Club members earn credits for participation and attendance, which will accumulate toward awards, prizes and special recognition.
Fatimah, the Resident Healthcare Coordinator and one of our employees spearheading the program says, “It will give the residents a sense of normalcy. It’s going to teach them life skills and give them an opportunity to give back to the community.”
You can also give back to the community by volunteering for Club UGM. We want friends like you to share your hobbies, talents, gifts and interests with our residents. It’s a wonderful way to show men and women at the Mission that life has a lot to offer… and they do, too!
