    Easter is a time of celebration for Christians everywhere. But Easter is particularly meaningful to all of us here at Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County because here we see God resurrecting people from death. What I mean is that people come to UGM-TC who are spiritually and emotionally dead and who need to be brought back to life.

    When the Covid-19 pandemic hit Fort Worth last March, Alex was already no stranger to “shelter in place.” He was recovering from brain surgery in December 2019 and had suffered complications. Unable to work or even leave his apartment, he relied on Meals on Wheels for his basic needs.

  • Renewal Story: Deon

    After battling long-term drug addiction and living in her daughter’s car for two years, Deon knew it was finally time to change her life. Her motivation came from seeing her mother and knowing she would not always be here. “My mother is 80 years old,” Deon tells us. “I realized she wasn’t getting any younger, and neither was I. I had to do something about my addiction now.”
